Fall has arrived

Sandpoint Idaho - 2012
Well, fall has arrived and brought many wonderful things with it! Not only do I get to be greeted with a crisp fall breeze when I exit a warm building, but also the wonders of starting a fire when returning home from work. If only my "boys" had thumbs and could keep the fire going during the day.

They are growing quite quickly it seems and are now about 10 1/2 months old. They not only keep me and CK on our toes, but are now staying home all day in their kennels and not complaining too much.

The hardest part of this time of year is saying goodbye to the wonderful summer clothes and bringing out the warm sweaters, snow pants  boots, hats, gloves... and on the list goes. If only you could enjoy winter in flipflops and not freeze!!! The forecast is calling for snow on Schweitzer on Saturday night and maybe even down to 2100 ft (our house is at 2126 ft) Burrrr... but this is why we live here in beautiful North Idaho, for the 5 seasons - Pre-Winter, Winter, Winter some more, Mud season & Summer. Just a peak into our beautiful world:

Yes, this is the Pend Oreille River. And I get to live on the shores of this beautiful place and enjoy it all year long.
